Guest Speaker: Eileen Sneeden, October 10-12 and 17-19
Eileen (née Yu) Sneeden was born in Taipei, Taiwan and lived there with her Buddhist father and atheist mother until she immigrated by herself to the United States at the age of eleven. Eileen has an undergraduate degree in physics and biophysics and a PhD in biophysics all from the University of Michigan. It was during her freshman year in college that she learned that Christ had died for her sins and she received Him as her personal Savior in her dorm room.
Upon the completion of her doctoral work, Eileen moved to California in February of 1999 and began working as a research scientist at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Stanford Linear Accelerator Center managed by Stanford University. In the Lord’s providence, He led Eileen and her (then future) husband Tim to the Bay Area of San Francisco just a few weeks apart in early 1999. They were married in September of 2002. Soon after their marriage, God led Eileen to leave her career as a scientist to devote herself full time to helping Tim as a pastor’s wife and homemaker.
In 2007, God led the Sneedens to leave their beloved Hamilton Square Baptist Church where Tim served for almost 10 years as the Associate Pastor. They traveled for two and a half years on deputation raising support to plant Metro Baptist Church in San Diego, California. As they continue to see this sweet new family of God grow, Eileen serves primarily as the nursery director, ladies’ counselor and discipler. Eileen also, in 2013, joined the online science faculty of Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, Wisconsin. The Sneedens are still praying for God’s blessing of children.

Guest Speaker: Lori Wood, October 24-26
Lori Wood grew up in a small farming town in northern Illinois. God led her to attend Bob Jones University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Education and a Master’s Degree in education as well. While at BJ, she met her husband, Pastor David Wood, and they have served together in churches in Colorado, Illinois and now Georgia. Lori loves music. She has played the piano since she was 5, and God has allowed her to help in the music ministry in each church they have been in. She has taught piano for over thirty years.
The Lord has blessed the Woods with four daughters who are all very musical, playing stringed instruments and piano. One of her joys in life is to see her own children and her students using their music to glorify God. Lori is a home school mom, and she serves alongside her husband who is the Pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Dacula. She loves the Lord, and she loves encouraging others to love the Lord, especially mentoring ladies. Her hobbies include sewing, reading, exercising, entertaining people in their home, and gardening, but especially caring for and spending time with her family.
